BIO:
My enthusiasm and appreciation for social media began in 2004 as a junior at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Facebook had slowly started allowing students outside of the Ivy League to join. Luckily for me, GW was one of the initial schools! Little did I know that my life, along with the rest of the world's, would be changed forever.
Upon graduating from GWU, I went to work for H-E-B Public Affairs, helping to introduce H-E-B's new concept store, H-E-B PLUS to San Antonio's north side community.
In 2010, I accepted a job offer in Busan, South Korea and for the next seven years, I lived in Busan, Prague and Seoul teaching English as a Foreign Language. While living overseas, I explored the fundamentals and art of storytelling through social media by starting @FreedomThinkers.
FreedomThinkers is a passion project that features photographers from around the world. When I first began FreedomThinkers, four photos were tagged #FreedomThinkers. After years of growing the community and thousands of photos shared from all seven continents, FreedomThinkers organically reached over 50,000 followers with over 2.9 MILLION photos tagged #FreedomThinkers. Each of these followers, posts, tags, etc helped me gain insight into the art of social media marketing and public relations.
Then my dreams came true when I made the Olympics! Unfortunately, I wasn't skating my way to Gold like my childhood dream. But thanks to my work with FreedomThinkers and various Korean social media accounts, I was selected to assist the Korean Olympic Committee's Marketing and Public Relations department prepare for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
In 2016, San Antonio called me home to create social media and marketing campaigns for non-profits, real estate developers, politicians, schools, small businesses, and more. In this time, I have earned multiple awards for my work in the fields of Social Media, Public Relations and Marketing.
